Presentation on Cupertino Bhubaneswar Sister City Initiative Framework
Mr. Gilbert Wong, Mayor, Cupertino visited the city of Bhubaneswar to explore the possibility of having a Sister City tie-up with the city during 23/02/11 to 25/02/11. During this visit a letter of Intent (LOI) was signed between Mr. Anant Narayan Jena, Mayor, Bhubaneswar and Mr. Wong, Mayor, Cupertino to this effect. This presentation was prepared and given to Hon'ble Minister of Tourism and Culture Mr. Debi Prasad Mishra and his team in the second floor conference hall, Secretariat, Govt. Of Orissa by Suchitra Pattnaik, Convener, Cupertino Bhubaneswar Sister City Initiative, Bhubaneswar. The same presentation was also given to Mr. B.K. Patnaik, Chief Secretary, Orissa and team on a different time slot in his office on 23/02/11. The Chief Secretary's team comprised of Principal Secretary (Industry), Secretary (Urban Planning), Secretary(IT and Energy). And, the Minister's team included Secretary (Tourism and Culture), Secretary (Higher Education), MLAs of Bhubaneswar. The same content in a capsule form was also delivered by Suchitra Pattnaik during the LOI signing event in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation on 23/02/11and also in Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar at Rotary Bhawan on 24/02/11. This was intended to bring Sister City awareness amongst the top officials of the state and various other organisations and people .
